Julie is a native of Portland, Oregon. She started pottery classes in college, but quit to pursue a career as a CPA. Ten years ago she came back to her love of clay and has been producing every since. Huisman now lives in Silverton, Oregon and has a full studio there. She specializes in functional tableware such as bowls, plates, mugs, vases, teapots and serving dishes. All of the pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe. It may also be used in a conventional oven if started in a cold oven.       Julie does accept some special orders.
