About the Artist

Jessica Meyers is a Silverton-based artist, raised amid the bucolic scenery of the Willamette Valley. Foremost a draftswoman, she began honing her skills in observation from a young age, first with pencil and pen, and later refining them in college figure studios. Formally trained in Fine Arts at Oregon State University-Cascades, she developed her immersive, impressionist painting style across the Oregon countryside, painting en plein air. Jessica is drawn to create what she believes the world needs more of: moments of magic and contemplation.

Artist Statement

I create vibrant, immersive acrylic landscapes that prioritize form over strict realism. My paintings move through shifting visions of forest, water, field and sky, inviting a contemplative, impressionistic experience rather than a literal one.

I paint to express fleeting moments in all their rich fullness. I am drawn to vivid color, dynamic movement, and the moody, magnetic quality of nature caught in a single glance. I work quickly, using small, energetic brushstrokes to capture light and atmosphere before they shift.

My work is an invitation to slow down, to linger on a threshold, and to enter the magical intensity of the natural world as I feel it.
